19-year old Andre Yllana wants to work with parents, excel in acting

For Andre Yllana, being a son of esteemed actors Aiko Melendez and Jomari Yllana is a pressure itself.

Pero ang Mommy naman, paulit-ulit po niyang sinasabi sa akin na whatever what they say about you as long as you do what you want, hayaan mo lang sila,” he said.

He said that he does mind his mom’s overprotective ways.

In a separate interview, Aiko admitted that she’s in a way strict when it comes to the welfare of her children because she wanted to protect them from the undesirable effects of social media.

She even revealed that she once reprimanded her son for visiting a porn site.

Andre said that he understands where his mother’s sentiments are coming from.

He asserted also that he does not being tagged as a Mama’s boy.

“Eh, ano naman? Di bale nang Mama’s boy at least alam ng tao na close kami,” he reasoned out.

More than a friend, he considers his mom his hero.

It is also his fervent wish to work with her in a project or probably in a episode in MMK.

If given a chance, he wants to excel in dramatic acting like his parents.

Andre and his sister Martina are supportive of his mom’s latest movie “New Generation Heroes” where Aiko plays the role of a Cora, a school teacher and a modern heroine who works abroad to support the needs of her family.

From the direction of Anthony Hernandez, “New Generation Heroes” also stars Anita Linda, Jao Mapa and Joyce Peñas.
