
2016 Singkuwento International Filmfest winners bared

Photo sent by Archie LiaoThe Singkuwento International Film Festival has drawn to a close after another successful year filled with thought provoking titles and new discoveries.
At its awarding ceremony held recently at the Leandro Locsin Theatre at the National Commission for the Culture and the Arts in Intramuros, Manila, the winners were announced.
Alessandra de Rossi bagged the best actress award for her Golden Goose Records Baratas sterling performance in Hector Barretto Calma’s “Ang Mga Alingawngaw Sa Panahon ng Pagpasya” (Echoes in Midst of Indecision) while Korean actor Geon Go won the best actor trophy for Best Actor for “Saviour” under the International Category.
Acclaimed actors Joonee Gamboa and Rolando Inocencio tied for the best actor award for “Upos” and “Caretaker” respectively while Issa Litton took home the best actress plum for “The Truth As Told In Lies” under the local category.
Superstar Nora Aunor was given the lifetime achievement award by the SIFFMP for her invaluable contribution to the promotion of Filipino culture and the arts.
