Expect another muscle-flexing and calorie-burning yet fun games during the 2nd Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Invitational Celebrity Badminton Tournament happening on Sunday, June, 2015, at the Power Play, Apo St. corner Quezon Avenue, Quezon City.

A special fund-raising project of the PMPC, the event is an annual activity sponsored by the club, for leisure and recreation of its members, and for fostering camaraderie with celebrity-friends from show business.

The indoor sports event welcomes showbiz celebrities and other non-PMPC members who would like to battle it out
for competition, fun games and exhibition matches in badminton.

Interested players may register at the venue, starting at 1pm with an entry fee of P750. A committee at Power Play will be in-charge of assessment and levelling of players, and game monitoring.

Five badminton courts are available and players are advised to bring in their own racquettes.

At games end, winners will be proclaimed. Trophies and medals are at stake for the winners in the different Badminton matches.

During the first fun games and tournament last year, celebrities who gamely sweat it out included Glydel Mercado, Isabel Granada, Paolo Ballesteros, Shyr Valdez, Neil Coleta, Dominique Roque, Aleck Bovick, and Ynez Veneracion with newbies Lyka Horbach, Arlene Amoroto, and Ali Forbes; and sports aficionados Ricky Alma Jose, Troy Catan, Raul Bautista, Nilo Del Valle, Diosdado Cheng, among others. While Kuya Germs (German Moreno), Shalala, Jon Lucas, Marion Aunor with mom, Lala Aunor, and sister, Ashley; and Dianne Medina livened up the event with their presence.

Aside from last year’s attendees, those who confirmed for this year’s edition include Ruffa Mae Quinto, Angelu de Leon, Gerald Santos, Joyce Ching, Jak Roberto and model/upcoming actor Prince. Guests are welcome to join the Badminton Tournament until 1PM on June 7.
