3rd World Premieres Film Festival winners announced

Inanunsiyo na kahapon ang mga nagwagi sa ikatlong edisyon ng taunang World Premieres Film Festival na ginanap sa Cinematheque Center, T.M. Kalaw, Manila.
Wagi ang pelikulang “EDSA” bilang best picture sa Filipino New Cinema division. Itinanghal namang second best picture ang pelikulang “Ringgo: The Dogshooter”. Nanalo rin ito ng special citation for acting ensemble.
Binigyan naman ng special jury prize si Direk Mel Chionglo para sa kontrobersyal na pelikulang “Iadya Mo Kami’ at ang dokumentaryong “Curiosity, Adventure and Love”.
Tinanghal namang best actor at best actress sina Sandino Martin bilang dogshooter at Janice de Belen bilang dog breeder sa “Ringgo: The Dog Shooter”.
Sa main competition, nanalong best actress si June Lojong para sa Malaysian movie na “Redha”ni Tunku Mona Riza tungkol sa child autism samantalang si Israel Elejalde ang nagwaging best actor para sa Spanish movie na “Love Above All Things” ni Chema dela Peña.
Pinagkalooban naman ng Grand Jury Prize at best artistic contribution award ang “Daughters of the Three Tailed Banner” ni Gutierrez Mangansakan II samantalang iniuwi ng “Yen’s Life” ni Dinh Tuan Vu ang Grand Festival Prize.
Ito ang kumpletong listahan ng mga nagsipagwagi sa 2016 World Premieres Film Festival.
