Dingdong Dantes says he’s not running for any elective post in 2016

Pinabulaanan ng Kapuso Primetime King na si Dingdong Dantes ang balitang tatakbo siya para senador sa ilalim ng Liberal Party. Ayon sa aktor, bagamat flattered ito na nababanggit ang kanyang pangalan sa mga diumano’y ‘napipisil’ upang tumakbo sa darating na eleksyon sa taong 2016 kung saan lumabas rin ang pangalan ng aktor-politiko na si Mayor Herbert Bautista, aniya sa kasalukuyan ay masaya na ang aktor sa tinatakbo ng kanyang karera bilang isang artista. “I’m honored to be part of that list,” sabi ni Dingdong sa Philippine Showbiz Republic (PSR). Aniya, “Nakapag-desisyon na po ako. I’m categorically saying that I’m not running (for) any elective post this 2016. Hindi pa po ako handa at marami pa po akong prayoridad sa buhay.”
Dingdong is a staunch supporter of President Noynoy Aquino. Dantes said he intends to keep himself busy with his advocacies and with his duties as commissioner-at-large of the National Youth Commission and chairman of his own charity group, YesPinoy Foundation. The actor is also expecting his first baby with his wife, actress Marian Rivera, who announced her pregnancy last month.
