Beautiful bride Diana Zubiri on husband Andy Smith: “You are my answered prayer. I wouldn’t trade this feeling for anything else.”
Mr. and Mrs. Andrew ‘Andy’ Smith (nee Diana Zubiri) wedding on Sunday night is the first celebrity-laden affair to be held the iconic Vera-Perez residence at the Sampaguita Events Place.
Friends and loved ones of the couple know that the wedding capped a five-year off-and-on “flirtatious” friendship/courtship that started on a blind date.
Diana and Andy (a model/TV host from Adelaide, Australia) were actually engaged in June last year but kept it under wraps because they didn’t want to join the showbiz engagement frenzy.
The beautiful bride, wearing a classic gown by Jazel Sy summed up her and Andy’s love story in a letter she read during the exchange of marriage vows, direct from her cellphone:
Dear Andy,
Many years ago, we sang it like the song “we had the right love at the wrong time” but “sometimes you run, sometimes you hide, sometimes you’re scared of me, but all I really want is to hold you tight, treat you right, be with you day and night.” Then you say, “Sorry I never told you” and then babe I cried saying, “I have nothing, nothing if I ain’t got you…”But you know, “I knew I loved you before I met you.” That’s why “I won’t give up on you” and told myself, “If ever you’re in my arms again”… ‘ “I don’t wanna close my eyes because I don’t wanna miss a thing.” That’s why, “Baby, baby, let me love you, and I will love you too until you learn to love yourself.”
And “if our love was tragedy, then why are you my remedy?” I always “thanked God I found you.” Thank you for teaching me how to love “because your love is the greatest gift of all” and Baby, “as long as you love me, I will be here” and “I will always love you.”
And, “looks like we’ve made it, look how far we’ve come, my Baby, we might have taken the long way, but we knew we’d get here someday.” They said, “I bet they’ll never make it but just look at us holding on. We’re still together, still going strong.”This might sound a little bit corny, singing all these lyrics and song titles, but we have known each other for years and who would have thought that after a blind date that took a long and wonderful journey that we would end up here in front of our family and friends, saying our vows to one another. No words or song can ever express how thankful I am to the Lord because He made all of this possible. You are my answered prayer. I wouldn’t trade this feeling for anything else. I will not give you anymore promises because I know deep in my heart we have already done them a long time ago. I know we have each other’s backs, and I know we have the same goal in life. I know we will help each other no matter what happens.
I believe that we are two people connected at heart. Whatever we may go through in the future, I know that we can easily overcome those obstacles and our relationship will last because it is a choice we have made and fought for and most of all worked for.
Naksss!
