Kris Aquino and Mayor Bistek, together again – not in romance but in film

Bagamat naudlot ang Herbert Bautista and Kris Aquino romance, back in each other’s arms naman sila ngayon dahil nakatakdang magsama sa iisang pelikula ang dalawa under Star Cinema at magiging entry nila sa 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival. Isang romantic-comedy ito na ididirek ng award-winning director na si Antoinette Jadaone na siyang nag-direk ng blockbuster movie na ‘That Thing Called Tadhana’ at writer ng ‘English Only Please’.
At dahil dito, iba’t iba ang reaksyon ng mga fan, marami ang natuwa at marami rin ang hindi pabor sa pagsasama ng dalawa. Nag-post pa ang mga ito sa Instagram account ng Queen of All Media para ihayag ang kanilang saloobin. Sabi ng isang fan; ”Excited na ako na mapanood ang movie ninyo #kilig. Hindi pa nga nag-i-start ang shooting pinag-uusapan [na]. Super-blockbuster yan!
“Kinikilig pa rin ako pag nakikita ko kayo… lakas makapang-bagets. Deadma sa mga haters. God bless you always, looking forward for this movie.
“If you guys truly admire Kris Aquino you will support her movies regardless of her leading man. That’s a true mark of a matured moviegoer/fan.”
Ang ilan naman sa negative reactions ay “Fan mo ako Ms. Kris pero walang kilig kung si Herbert ang katambal mo. Is he worth it? Sana ibang leading man na lang. I’m afraid flop ‘yang movie na ‘yan.
“Not a good idea. No way.
“Wala kayong chemistry ni Herbert.”
At dahil sari-saring reaction nga ang naglabasan ay agad nag-post si Kris ng sagot niya sa bashers.
“In general about the project, and in particular about my leading man, and actually trip ko lang asarin lahat ng affected much… Itulog n’yo na, 2 months pa naman before we start shooting.”
The following day ay nag-post muli si Kris, “I respect that some of you disagree with my choice, but maybe you should also respect my reasons?
1. It’s just a movie, but we are being given the rarest of opportunities to answer all our WHAT IFS – through the eyes & expressed by the words of the #hugotqueen Direk @tonet_jadaone.
2. The storyline is realistic, family centered, funny, yet still uplifting & inspiring.
3. Come on, sa Star Cinema movie is the way we wish life could be: poignant, emotional, lovely, memorable and with a heart tugging soundtrack…
4. Because I’m not the same Kris I was 15 months ago, and I think I’m a more mature, positive and “live each day as it comes” version of me.
5. Because even if it will only happen in a movie, I deserve to experience that happy ending –kahit sa pelikula man lang.
6. That’s the last I have to say about our movie, as I said, we don’t start shooting until July.
After ng post na ito ay hindi pa rin tumigil ang ilan at pilit kinokontra ang desisyon ng TV host at aktres.
Sagot pa ni Kris dito,” Judge us based on the final product. Di ko pera ang magpo-produce nito, so with Star Cinema’s track record, I don’t think they’ll spend millions to produce a flop#letthemovieproveitsworth.
Samantala, sa programang ‘Aquino and Abunda Tonight’ ay muling sinagot ni Kris ang tunay na rason kung bakit siya napapayag gawin ang proyektong ito to think na may ‘past’ at naging kontrobersyal sila for a while ni QC Mayor Herbert.
“Siguro kung a year ago, hindi natin iisipin na mangyayari ito. Tinanggap ko kasi I’ve never done something like this. Lahat ng projects ko, I’ve never been able to do a full-length romance.
“Sa edad ba naman namin, aakalain pa ba namin na merong adult romance na puwedeng maganap?”
Sabi pa niya, “Why not, ‘di ba? Oo, kasi kung sa personal na buhay, hindi ko ito gagawin. Dahil baka naman everyday, after shooting, umuuwi akong umiiyak. Pero ngayon, excited ako dahil everyday, after shooting, feeling ko nakatawa na ako.
“It’s a fun story. It’s a happy story na kahit ano, mga kids, age ko… lahat, parang maka-capture niya ang lahat ng age.”
At tungkol naman sa ‘romance’ na nangyari sa kanila ni Herbert, gustong linawin ni Kris ang totoong ‘nangyari’ sa kanila ni Herbert.
“We were never lovers po. I will just clarify that nothing ever happened. Clarification, nothing happened.”
Iniisip kasi ng ibang tao na kung sakaling nagkaroon nga sila ng malalim na relasyon at naging ‘lovers’ ay posibleng mayroon silang intimate romance na sisnasabi.
“Actually po, just to make it clear also, the story will be told to the eyes of our children. And obviously in this movie, ang anak ko would be Bimby [Kris’s real-life son]. And ang daughter niya [Herbert] dito… he will have two daughters. One daughter would be played by Jana from ‘Dream Dad’, so it’s really exciting. It’s something that we are all looking forward to doing.”
Meanwhile, aside from the movie with Herbert ay isang magandang balita pa ang ini-announce ni Kris sa programang ‘Aquino and Abunda’. Nakatakda raw gawin pa niya ang isang pelikula ngayong taong ito, muli under Star Cinema..
Ayon pa sa ina nina Josh at Bimby, “Sinasabi nga nila, kapag umuulan, it really pours. Today, I was… para sigurong everything fell into place.
“The project that I am hoping I could do, I am now allowed to do. So I can announce it already… under Direk Chito Roño po, ang title ‘The Etiquette For Mistresses’.
“Yes, I am a part of the project.”
Ang ‘The Etiquette For Mistresses’ ay film adaptation ng libro ni Julie Yap Daza na ‘Etiquette for Mistresses’ and ‘What Wives Can Learn From Them’.
Nagbigay rin ng clue si Kris kung sino pa ang makakasama niya sa pelikulang ito.
“Yes, somebody I’ve worked in the past and may box-office history rin is coming back to be part of that movie.
“She is very special to me and we also worked with Direk Chito. Parang giveaway na naman na kung sino ‘yon.”
Mukhang si Claudine Barretto ang tinutukoy ni Kris dahil nakasama na niya ito sa pelikulang Sukob noon at kumpirmado na nga ito base sa latest post ni Kris sa kanyang IG account.
“At ang isa pang makakasama diyan ay ang isa sa pinakamamahal kong si Kim Chiu.Tatlo po kaming siguradong nandiyan.
“It’s a movie that I will be shooting simultaneously with the KrisTek [Kris-Bistek tandem] movie.
“Di ba? Why not?”
“So, yun na nga, meron akong isang movie about two people trying to rekindle love. “And I have another movie where I was trying to break up love!” pagkukuwento pa ni Kris.
