Melai Cantiveros wins ‘Your Face Sounds Familiar’

Just as we had expected, among the four grand finalists, it was comedienne Melai Cantiveros who emerged as the ‘Your Face Sounds Familiar’ grand champion. Cantiveros bested other participants with her impersonation of American pop artist Miley Cyrus. Cantiveros wins by 51.93% of text votes. She won against Nyoy Volante’s Whitney Houston, Jay R’s Frank Sinatra, Edgar Allan Guzman’s Chris Brown impersonation.
During the grand finals, Cantiveros performed Miley Cyrus’ ‘Wrecking Ball.’ As the winner of ‘Your Face Sounds Familiar,’ Melai will receive P2 million pesos. Half of the pot money will go to the artist’s chosen charity.
“Your Face Sounds Familiar” is a weekly talent show that pitted eight artists with each other via musical numbers while impersonating various iconic singers in a span of 12 weeks.
