Max Collins has no plans on joining beauty pageants

Kuntento raw si Max Collins sa takbo ng kanyang career ngayon. Excited nga raw siya para sa bago niyang show sa GMA 7.
“Kasama ako sa “Juan Tamad,” ‘yung show para kay Sef Cadayona. Ako po ‘yung leading lady niya doon,”kuwento sa Philippine Showbiz Republic (PSR) ni Max.
“I’m very thankful for the said project. Rom-com siya so it’s light, very different sa lahat ng mga ibang nagawa kong teleserye. Walang mga hugot. So excited na ako kasi at least, parang ice breaker siya from all the drama.”
Hindi pa daw sila nakakapagsimulang mag-taping pero parehas silang excited ni Sef sa nasabing proyekto. Ayon pa kay Max, maganda daw kasi yung iskrip at sobrang magkaiba daw yung kanilang characters. “Law student ako dito na seryoso masyado. Si Sef, siya yung nakakatawa. Yung karakter ko kabaligtaran nung sa kanya.”
Hindi naging mahirap na magkaroon ng rapport at chemistry ang dalawa dahil magkaibigan naman talaga sila ni Sef. Pareho kasi silang mainstay ng “Bubble Gang.”
May pressure ba sa pag-remake ng proyektong dating ginawa ng yumaong Hari ng Komedya na si Dolphy?
“I think the pressure is more on Sef,” muling nangiting sabi ni Max.
“Kasi siya ‘yung character na ginampanan ni Dolphy noon. So siya ang mahihirapan. But I think he’s more excited than nervous about the show. Tapos ako naman, I’m just enjoying.”
Isa pa sa pinagkakaabalahan ngayon ni Max ay ang pagiging aktibong supporter ng isang charity. “I’m part of my friend’s charity. It’s called Pink Women On Fire. So you can also find it on Instagram at Pink Women On Fire. We do a lot of charities kung saan-saan. But it is my friend who really goes to the outreaches herself. Because I can’t make it. So nagdo-donate lang ako. It’s more of for children. But lately, Ive been looking into helping more of battered women and women who have been raped. That’s really the advocacy that I want to focus on.”
Bakit ito ang napili niyang advocacy?
“Because I think that it’s not given proper attention. There’s no voice for it right now. I know a lot of people are helping children. But some women don’t really have a voice. Battered women don’t have a voice here right now so that’s the advocacy that I want to work on.”
“My friend and I are looking for centers or shelters for battered women. Women who have psychological problems due to rape and you know… things like that. So we kinda want to go there and help them. And parang give them hope that there’s something else that they could do and to take their minds off the bad experiences. And then we also want to boost their self-esteem, to beautify them para naman magkaroon sila ng confidence. We’d like to talk to them to hear them out on how can we help them so that they can do something else for a living.”
Bakit naglalaan siya ng panahon sa mga ganitong bagay?
“Kasi feeling ko, that’s our purpose. All of us have a purpose. And my purpose is to give a voice to those that have no voice. I will be using my being a celebrity for a good cause.”
Pam-beauty queen ang kanyang statement na ito. May plano ba siyang sumali sa beauty contest at maging beauty titlist din gaya ng pinsan niyang si Miss World 2013 Megan Young?
“Ay, hindi. Ayoko, wala akong ganung plano,” nangiting sabi niya.
Bukod sa pagda-diet, anong mga exercise ang kanyang ginagawa para maging physically fit at sexy?
“Yoga pa rin ako hanggang ngayon. It calms my senses and helps me to relax.”
Ano ang pakiramdam na mapabilang sa sexiest women ng FHM?
“Siyempre happy ako. At never kong inakala na makakasali ako sa list.
I’ve never imagined that I’ll be considered sexy. So happy ako, I’m very happy.”
At ang grupong ‘Bubble Chickers’ kung saan miyembro siya, kasama lahat.
“Hindi rin nga namin akalain na magri-rate ang Bubble Chickers. Kasi noong una, we just tried it lang. Nagustuhan ng mga tao, so nagtuloy-tuloy lang. Hanggang sa naging grupo siya,” kuwento niya.
“And then ngayon, lahat kami [Bubble Chickers] nasa FHM. So nakakatuwa.”
