Celebrity power couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have decided to end their marriage. The couple had just celebrated their 10th year anniversary announced their split just a day after. The trouble in their relationship has been brewing for years. According to reports, Jen wanted to change Ben. She was immensely attracted to Ben from the time they did the film Daredevil. He was a bad boy, but she thought he wanted to put those days behind him and be a doting father and husband. In fairness to Ben, he’s a great dad and he really tried to be a terrific husband, but it never came easy to him. After a while, his bad habits came back. Jen desperately fought to keep their marriage from falling apart for the sake of their kids. Sadly, it seems like Ben and Jen drifted apart and ultimately were not happy with each other.

“After much thought and careful consideration, we have decided to divorce,” said Ben, 42 and Jennifer, 43 in a joint statement. “We go forward with love and friendship for one another and the commitment to co-parenting our children, whose privacy we ask to be respected at this difficult time. This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding.”

FThe former couple has three children, namely: Violet Anne, 9, Seraphina Rose Elizabeth, 6 and Samuel Garner, 3.

Ben and Jen met in 2001, on the set of “Pearl Harbor,” and according to Ben, they fell in love while filming “Daredevil” in 2003 and got married in 2006. Affleck, per California law due to the length of the marriage, will be paying spousal and child support. He will continue to live on their Brentwood property, though not in the same house, so both he and Garner, with whom he will share joint custody, can co-parent their children.

They’ve been married for a long time and tried to make it work for many years. They went to marriage counseling and tried to make changes in their lives to heal their marriage but it wasn’t enough. They eventually realized this is the best thing to do for their family. So sad. Sometimes, relationships just don’t work, but for the sake of their family Philippine Showbiz Republic (PSR) hope things remain friendly.
