John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo will have their reunion film in “One More Chance 2”

As friends-turned-to-lovers Basha Eugenio [played by Bea Alonzo] and Popoy Gonzalez’ [John Lloyd Cruz] love story became an instant hit which made the film “One More Chance” as one of the most celebrated box office movie of all time in the history of Philippine cinema. In the recent book and DVD launching of “One More Chance,” Bea and John Lloyd confirmed that they are indeed doing another movie together.
“We aren’t sure yet if it’s going to be a part 2 of “One More Chance,” or a sequel or an entirely different film. One thing’s sure, John Lloyd and I will be teaming up again soon on screen for a reunion film,” shares Bea. “I’m pretty excited to be doing another movie with her [Bea]. We did “One More Chance” in 2007 and I heard it’ll also be under the direction of Direk Cathy Garcia-Molina again. So if ever, it will be the reunion film for the three of us,” says John Lloyd.
“There was a clamor for more of the Basha and Popoy love story [the characters they’ve played in ‘One More Chance’] that’s why they made a book version of the film and they’ve come up with the DVD so that people can relive the film over and over again,” explains John Lloyd. “People had been so ‘kilig’ with the story of Basha and Popoy. I guess it’s understandably so because the story was relatable to anyone who had fallen in love with their friend,” added Bea.
Fans of Bea-JLC had all the reason to smile and wait as their favourite on-screen couple will again be seen on the silverscreen soon.
