On her Instagram account, Aquino denied earmarking funds to purchase 200 Toyota cars supposedly intended for the Premium Taxi service. “It has reached my attention that I am being dragged into the LTFRB-Premium-Taxi-UBER-GrabCar issue. In particular, I am being accused of #SelfishMotives and #UnfairCompetition. I have not bought nor own 200 vehicles earmarked for premium taxis for Toyota. I do not own any taxi company that will operate Premium Taxis,” Aquino said.

“Yes, she invested on us. She has no stake in the percentage of the company. She has no say in terms of running the company. She’s purely just an investor,” he said.

As for the issue, Luis denied that he never applied for a premium taxi categorization. He said that all they want as taxi owners is to have an equal playing field in providing transportation.
