Luis Manzano takes over ‘Celebrity Playtime’ as host; Billy clarifies there’s no competition between them

Marami ang nagulat nang magdesisyon ang pamunuan ng ABS-CBN at ALV Talent Circuit Inc., ang nangangalaga sa karera ni Billy Crawford na lisanin ng TV host ang ‘Celebrity Playtime’ at palitan ito ng kaibigang si Luis Manzano. Sa isang statement na inilabas nila, sinabi nito na “Billy would love to continue hosting the show but unfortunately, he can’t be seen in two consecutively airing programs.”
Siniguro naman ng ABS-CBN ang fans ni Billy na patuloy pa rin naming mapapanood ang TV host sa “It’s Showtime” at ang celebrity talent show na “You’re Face Sounds Familiar.”
Mariing itinanggi naman ni Billy na mayroon itong isyu sa ginawang pag-take over sa kanya bilang host ng ‘Celebrity Playtime’ ni Luis. “Wala kaming ganung issue. Si Luluboy [tawag ni Billy kay Luis] pa of all people? Hindi, walang ganun. Luis is one dear friend na para ko ng kapatid. There’s no competition between us, ever. We’re both happy for each other’s success,” paliwanag ni Billy sa Philippine Showbiz Republic (PSR.ph).
“In fact, one of these days, I might just surprise him [Luis] with a visit to congratulate him on his new show. I am happy that it was him who took over the show, you know,” pagtatapos pa ni Billy.
