Unknown to the public’s prying eyes, Hollywood actor Joshua Jackson had been staying in the country for days now. He’s here primarily to shoot a few scenes for the National Geographic channel’s “Years of Living Dangerously” which will be aired early next year. Jackson started out in the biz as a child actor via the hit 90’s TV series “Baywatch” where he played the character of Hobie, the son of David Hasselholf who played a lifeguard. He’s also known for his portrayal of Charlie Conway in the film “Mighty Ducks” with Emilio Esteves and of course, who could forget his heartwarming role as Pacey Witter in the late 90’s teen series “Dawson’s Creek”? And recently, he’s best remembered as Peter Bishop on the film “Fringe.”
Jackson first informed the public that he was indeed in Manila last Saturday, December 12, before making his way to Dumaguete, followed by the Apo Island. Jackson has been documenting his trips and travels via his Instagram account. He posted photos of Manila’s buildings, the ocean and a public market in Dumaguete. He’s also gone diving in Apo Island.
Years of Living Dangerously is a documentary TV series on National Geographic, where celebrities and well-known journalists travel to places in the world affected by global warming. The show won an Emmy award in 2014, in the “Outstanding Non-fiction Series” category. The Season 2, where Jackson’s chronicles in the country, will be airing in 2016.
