Ironically speaking
Government departments and instrumentalities were at first hand is tasked with the enforcement of our laws. . It is also not a surprise if ever we see
delinquent officials being involved in a controversy involving their office. That is usually a normal scenario which is gleaned from different reports and complaints of concerned citizens. But, how would you react if you see an
actual violation of our laws in flagrante delicto (in the very act of wrongdoing) within the ambit of a government office being viewed by the public? This was experienced by some concerned citizens in the Department of Foreign Affairs
showing the Pirated Movie A Second Chance which was just screened in the theatres nationwide. Star Cinema’s Advertising and Promotions Manager Mico del Rosario tweeted a picture of the TV screening A second Chance
being played in said government office. The same was reposted by Showtime Host and Pilipinas Got Talent Judge Vice Ganda. Artists are promoting the campaign for Anti-Camcording Law which provides sanctions such as fine and
imprisonment for pirating a movie even the Late Master Showman himself Mr. German Moreno was in full-fledged support for this law. The Department of Foreign Affairs made a statement regarding the issue that they are going to
investigate the matter and the responsible persons involved in playing the pirated movie will be dealt with a disciplinary action.
