Anne Curtis launches her own children’s book

Kung inaakala mong nagawa na lahat ni Anne Curtis ang halos lahat ng bagay na kaya niyang gawin, nagkakamali ka. Today, February 19, 2016, Anne Curtis, who had just celebrated her birthday this week, adds another feather on her cap. Sa tulong ng United Nation’s Children’s Fund [UNICEF], isa na ring ganap na author si Anne. Later this afternoon, right after her appearance on “It’s Showtime!,” Anne will be signing her book entitled Anita, the Duckling Diva during the ‘Children’s First! Storybooks launch’ which will be held at the SM North EDSA The Block.

Ayon sa aktres, matagal na niyang gustong sumulat ng kuwentong pambata dahil mahilig din daw siya sa mga bata. “It’s always been my dream to write a book. It’s part of my bucketlist. I’m so glad I’m able to write one for the young ones. Hopefully, my book will be able to inspire them,” sabi ni Anne. Aniya pa, naniniwala daw siya na it’s never too late to reach for one’s dream. “Dati ginusto kong makapag-concert sa isang malaking venue gaya ng Smart Araneta, nagawa ko naman ‘yun miski na hindi ako isang professional singer. Ngayon naman, heto nga at na-fulfill ko rin yung dream ko na makapagsulat ng librong pambata. And I’m also working on my very first album too which will be out soon. All of these are

happening because I’ve never stopped dreaming and making them come true,” dagdag pa ni Anne.

Bukod pa sa alam niyang marami siyang fans who looks up to her. Bilang advocate ng UNICEF, nagpapasalamat si Anne sa pagtitiwalang ipinagkaloob sa kanya ng nasabing foundation, Proceeds from her book will go directly to the various programs of the organization for the less privileged children in the country. These includes programs on education, health and nutrition, water sanitation, hygiene, child protection, disaster risk and reduction and emergencies.
Maliban sa libro ni Anne, nakatakda ring i-launch ngayong araw ang ilan sa librong inilimbag para sa UNICEF tulad ng Ang Sabi ni Nanay, Ang Sabi ni Tatay by Sacha Calagopi; Ang Dalawang Haring Siga ni Rene O. Villanueva; Ang Bata sa Basket ni Augie Rivera; Yaya Niya, Nanay Ko by Ma. Corazon Remigio; and Nina Wonders, Nina Asks by Marcy Dans Lee.
