KC Concepcion exudes positivity, warmth and sexiness during the press conference for Natural Looks where she renewed contract as endorser for its perfume line. To borrow the famous tagline ever produced in the 2015 Miss Universe pageant, KC was ‘confidently beautiful.’

It was so fitting because she was actually promoting the global brand known for its famed scent and natural ingredients. KC said that a woman who smells good is attractive.

“Ang maganda sa Natural Looks na hindi available sa ibang brands, ’yung body spray kasi pwede mo siya i-spray ng mas madalas during the day. Pero meron din siyang perfume na naka-glass na long-lasting. Meron ding line na you can keep sa pocket mo. It has to suit your personality. If you’re feminine, you have to wear a floral one. If you’re athletic, you can go for the musky one. As long as you smell fresh, it’s attractive,” she said.

But there are more about KC that sets her apart among the millennials in show business. She’s got class and breeding. She’s well-educated and intelligent yet grounded. She’s an A-list performer who continually hones her craft – singing, dancing, acting, modelling. She chooses her projects and endorsements well. She lives up for her advocacies. And most of all, she loves her family.

Never mind if her showbiz career took a back seat for a while. She had her hands full doing important things as well and focused on her family and other endeavors, including her devotion with the United Nations, which named her the National Ambassador Against Hunger for their World Food Programme.

Maybe these are enough reasons why her fans never left despite her absence.
“It’s just so nice na andyan ’yung support ng mga fans sa akin at ’yung mga fans they will be with me in whatever journey talaga. I think it’s nice din ’yung mga business na hindi nakikita ng mga tao nag-start na din ako. So it’s a learning experience for me na hindi lang sa entablado ’yung work but pati ’yung hindi napapanuod ng mga tao,” KC said at the press conference for Natural Looks.

And now that she’s making a comeback, she’s excited as ever.

“This year, I want to go back to acting and reconnect with my network. I’m excited. It’s going to be a new concept. There are also movies being discussed right now. Pero syempre gusto ko na exciting siya not just for me but pati na rin sa audience,” she said.
Her last TV project was the mini series “Give Love On Christmas,” which ended in January 2015. The break from showbiz also allowed KC to get to know herself better and reassess her life and career.

“Siguro it’s more of not being afraid to take a step back and say no to certain things. For example, kung gagawa ako ng project for the sake of maging exposed, I think ayaw ko na lang mag-yes sa isang project na hindi naman bagay sa akin…”KC said.
Perhaps KC was talking about her experience when her megastar mom took to social media and asked her to stop doing unnecessary projects including sexy photo shoots. And a good daughter that she is, KC never retaliated back, not a single word was heard from her, and instead she opted to reconnect with her mother and siblings.

For her upcoming projects, she said, “Ayaw ko naman din na ma-shortchange ’yung mga audience… So kapag may time na maganda ’yung dumating sa akin, I would like to make my audience happy and na-feel ko naman din na merong naka-miss sa akin,” she said.

KC’s mantra this year is: “Believe it’s going to be better than you ever imagined.” And while an acting comeback is in the offing, she also hopes for a blooming love life, too. “I didn’t have a Valentine’s date but hopefully, 2016 will be good to me in the love department,” she added.
KC’s love life has always been an open book. Having gone through past relationships, KC hopes to find someone who will be proud of her and their relationship.
“I really want to be with someone who will be proud to be with me and ako rin proud to be with him. I would like to explore the world with a special someone,” she said.

she added that she wants a kind person who will “take care of her heart.”

“Kung sino man ang naging special sa akin, I guess hindi ako nagkulang ng pag-express sa kanila ng pagmamahal ko. Pero I would like to be in a relationship kasi na hindi tinatago, hindi secret. I really would love to express myself freely,” she said.

And now that the actress is ready for a comeback and is in better shape than ever – she said she has also added her equestrienne training during her haitus and it shows! – we hope to see KC in meaningful projects that will showcase her skills and acting prowess as well. She should be doing movies the like of Boy Golden: Shoot To Kill which clinched for her Best Actress awards from the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) and the Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences, Inc. (Famas) both in 2014.
KC playing a femme fatale character again? Why not? Or better still, the Kapamilya Network should give her the much-coveted role of the super heroine, Darna!
