Namesake debuts live in Manila

by Archie Liao
New rock disciples, that’s what they are. American pop rock group Namesake-composed of lead vocalist Will Crafton, co-vocalist J. T. O’neil, guitarist Brad Wagnor, bassist Seth Van Dusen and drummist Kevin Nordeste- is now
fast making their mark in the global entertainment scene. Undoubtedly, their looks send pleasant shivers down many a woman’s spine. Their kind of music continues to electrify fans over the edge of supreme sonic ecstasy. Their youthful vibe and talent is out to give a new dimension to the word “new rock”. With the successful release of their new single “Borders and Faces” and their controversial
current hit song and video “Worlds Away”, Namesake is now becoming a word of mouth among audiophiles.
But who really is this new “boy band’ on the block?
“Namesake” is a young band put together when they were around 16 years old developed into tremendous talents. They’re not just a boy band who play their instruments. Their own voices are their instruments. Their talent level is astounding and their versatility makes them one of the most exciting acts to watch”, remarks Rene Walter of Sanre Entertainment.
Where did they get the name of their band?
“All of us are namesakes of our fathers. We are all juniors and we’re mighty proud of that”, says Will.
They say that their fathers are their idols.
“All of our parents are into music. They taught us to that wonderful world of music and we’re grateful to them for giving us the courage to put this all together”, recounts Brad.
Their love for music is their common denominator.
“We grew up with this passion for music and we want to share it with everyone”, says Seth. Namesake has previously toured with groups such as R5, Allstar Weekend and Honor Society. All from Georgia, the band continues its roots of Southern rock with an innovative pop edge to obtain their unique sound.
The band is predicted to make history as it jams with international pop rock artist Arnel Pineda

in their first global streaming concert “Voyage to Roadville”. Coinciding with the launch of Sanre Streaming, a new division of Sanre Entertainment Worldwide, the concert will be streamed live from the Newport Performing Arts Theater at
Resorts World Manila on April 5 at 8 pm.
“Voyage to Roadville” also features 2016 Grammy nominee for best live performance, Morgan Rose of the band Sevendust. Morgan is widely acclaimed to be one of the world’s best drummers.
