Alice Dixson finds love anew with expat boyfriend
Archie Liao
“Pinakamalaking problema ko before was my relationship. When I was married, we really wanted to work it out. Hindi kasi ako naniniwala noon sa divorce. When I was 16, when I joined the Binibining Pilipinas, I was very conservative and moralistic pero iyong mga ideas ko were not always realistic”, aniya.
“One thing I learned was you can’t change somebody. I wanted him kasi to change that person to be more what I wanted as a partner. It’s just that sometimes, you either have to accept or walk away”, hugot niya.
“He’s Belgian, so I need to speak his language. We’ve been together for 4 years now. He’s also divorced and I have a stepdaughter who’s 18. He’s turning 46 by March”, tsika niya.
“He’s working here in Manila that time. He spotted me in a gathering. He found a way to introduce himself.
“We’re both married before, so marriage is not a priority right now. We’re in that stage that we’re trying to start a family”, sey niya.
Masaya si Alice sa kanyang lovelife ngayon at ibinahagi niya ang sikreto ng kanyang happy life na consistent sa good vibes ng “Happy Life” kung saan siya may special participation.
“I’m having a happy life because in times when I have problems, I think positive. I just think that this is just a phase, na lilipas din ito. You just have to trust God kung ano ang plano niya sa atin which is unfolding everyday. You need to choose to be happy everyday that you wake up because there are many things and blessings to thank for. So for me, happiness is a choice”, paliwanag niya.
Happy din si Alice dahil may gagawin siyang Christmas episode sa “Happy Life”, isang travel show with a cause.
“Pumunta kami ng orphanage sa Bacolod. I’ve never been to Bacolod and excited na ako dahil first ko sa isang travel/reality show na may charity component. Actually, na-experience ko na siya a couple of weeks ago when my friend, Sabrina Artadi, a beauty queen, invited me sa “Missionaries of the Poor” somewhere in Paco. She prepares some meals for the street kids. Naisip ko , sumama kasi even sa Binibining Pilipinas, we really work with orphanages. When I see the kids, I’m trying in my own way to help. I think the most precious thing we can give them or the less fortunate is our time ”, bida niya. “Last Christmas nga, my fans and I, we did “Share a Christmas” where I asked my fans to spend time or give gifts to hospitals or orphanages. I try also to ask people to help and do what they can.I ask people to pay it forward kahit hindi ako kasama, just like when Governor Chavit asked me to participate”, deklara niya.
“It’s always a pleasure to be part of a show na may good cause na makatulong sa kapuwa”, pagtatapos niya.
Freelance si Alice sa ngayon pero may standing offers siya from major networks to do a teleserye.
