‘Ang Sikreto ng Piso’ hopes to get a slot in this year’s MMFF
‘Ang Sikreto ng Piso’ will be our gift to all Filipino families this Christmas season,” said the ever busy director Perry Escaño who also has just wrapped up his “Ang Guro Kong Hindi Marunong parajumpers Ugo Rea Magbasa” and slated to be the opening film in Parajumpers Gobi Dam Online Cinemalaya 2017 this August.
Direk Perry Golden Goose 2.12 Rea presented to the press in their story conference the stars who will be included in the cast.
Confirmed for his role as Ronnie Biglang-Awa was Congressman Alfred Vargas, Lou Veloso as Tatang Tano Biglang-Awa, Ernie Garcia as Dong Marcos, Andoy Ranay as Anday, Paul Sy as Chris Singson, and Golden Goose Superstar Billigt Beverly Salviejo as Manang Che, and Kelvin Miranda as the villain.
Important roles were offered to Long Mejia, Wendell Ramos, Joey Marquez, Yuan Francisco, McCoy de Leon, Elisse Joson and Judy Ann Santos.
‘Ang Sikreto ng Piso’ (The Secret of the Philippine Peso Coin), Adidas Supernova Tights Herren according to Escaño is a family-oriented comedy and historical film inspired by actual events on the smuggle of the Philippine peso coin in 2006.
“The film is a wholesome, charming and interesting story for the Filipino family perfect during the Christmas season, thus we intend to submit it to the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). And we are hopeful to get a slot.”
It is produced by MPJ Entertainment Productions and JPP Entertainment, owned by beauty queen and fashion designer Joyce Peñas Pilarsky who will also portray the role of Joey Marquez’ wife in the project.
The story revolved around Ronnie’s family.
In order to build wealth effectively, Ronnie has to watch out on their spending and make sacrifices to save up for his wife and only son.
But Ronnie was forced to accept an odd job which Kd 7 Elite promised him a higher income-which required him to gather as much peso coins he could gather.
Later on he would find out the secret why these coins are being smuggled abroad. How did this help in Ronnie’s life journey? Or did it really help him?
