Star Cinema’s Finally Found Someone opens today in PH cinemas; Sarah says working with Lloydie always inspires her
The highly anticipated and phenomenal love team of Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz is back in “Finally Found Someone” (formerly Dear Future Husband), Star Cinema’s latest offering.
According to the Popstar Royalty, the movie offers new ‘kilig’ and perspective on man-woman relationship.
“Hindi po ito sequel ng “It Takes a Man and a Woman.” Magkaibang istorya po ito, so huwag pong mag-expect na kuwento ito nina Laida at Miggy. It’s a totally different po,” she pointed out.
Sarah also admitted that she missed working with John Lloyd.
“Almost four years ago na po iyong last movie namin. Alam po namin ni Lloydie na sabik na silang abangan kung ano iyong susunod namin kaya nga po gusto naming hulihin iyong Sarah-John Lloyd tandem at treat na rin namin ito sa mga walang sawang sumusubaybay sa amin,” she averred.
She also said that the movie is her birthday treat to her fans. (She is celebrating her birthday on July 25, a day before the rom-com opens in theaters nationwide.)
“Mas pinaganda siya. Kung na-in love sila kina Laida at Miggy, mas mai-in lab sila kina Aprilyn at Raffy (their characters in the movie). It’s something na hindi pa nila napapanood,” she assured.
She also finds working with Lloydie very inspiring.
“Iyong feeling na ganado kang magtrabaho at you look forward na mag-report sa set. Kasi with John Lloyd, ibang klase siya. Intense siya as an actor. Lahat naman halos ng naging leading ladies looking forward na makatrabaho siya.
“Kasi, hindi lang siya believable as an actor. Kapag nagpo-portray siya ng role, bukod sa napaka-passionate niya, maa-amaze ka sa galing niya dahil laging in character siya kaya papaniwalaan mo talaga na siya iyong character na ginagampanan niya.
“Minsan, madadala ka rin sa galing niya kaya nakaka-inspire siyang katrabaho. At saka kami ni Lloydie, may special connection na hindi na mawawala dahil ilang beses na kaming nagkatrabaho,” she told PSR in an interview.
The Voice Kids Teen edition coach is also proud to sing the movie’s theme song.
When asked about Daniel Padilla who signified his interest to work with her, she said she’s open to the project.
“Okay lang basta maganda iyong project at pag-isipin lang itong mabuti,” she concluded.
From “A Very Special Love” in 2008, “You Changed My Life” in 2009 and “It Takes a Man and a Woman” in 2013, “Finally Found Someone” is predicted to make box office history again as it opens in theaters nationwide starting today, July 26.
From the direction of Theodore Boborol of “Vince, Kath and James” fame, the movie also stars Christian Bables, 2016 MMFF’s biggest discovery and best supporting actor (Die Beautiful).
