Miles Ocampo explores screenwriting, cites Bela Padilla as inspiration

Sep 13, 2017

Kapamilya actress Miles Ocampo has been in showbusiness for more than a decade now since she started her career in 2004 as a child actress.

She has done several teleseryes in ABS-CBN and has been paired off with several leading men.

In the movies, she did supporting roles to Sarah Geronimo, Kim Chiu and Sharon Cuneta to name a few.

Now, Miles is thankful that she is now one of the title rolers in“The Debutantes,” a horror film by Prime Cruz of “Sleepless,” “Can We Still Be Friends?” and “Ang Manananggal sa Unit 23B” fame.

“I play the role of Lara.

According to Miles, this is her second horror film for Regal Entertainment.

“First ko iyong “Pagpag” na naging MMFF entry. It was a co-production of Regal and Star Cinema. I’m happy na nasundan pa siya,” she revealed.

Aside from acting, Miles wants to write a script for a film.

To realize this, she enrolled in an screenwriting workshop conducted by master screenwriter and Plaridel awardee Ricky Lee.

It is also her dream to pen a movie which will have her as a lead.

She further admitted that she looks up to Bela Padilla, who has proven herself not only as a good actress but also as an effective storyteller, as her inspiration.

Although busy in her projects, she still finds time to juggle between acting and studying.

She also said that has no boyfriend yet because it is her choice.

Kapag may free time ako, nanonood ako ng mag-isa.

Miles, John Lloyd and Ellen Adarna’s costar in the Kapamilya sitcom “Home Sweetie Home,” does not want to comment on the controversy involving the alleged couple.

“The Debutantes” also stars Sue Ramirez, Chanel Morales, Michelle Vito, Jane de Leon, Paolo Gumabao and a lot more.
