Monsour del Rosario prays for Monette Bernardo
I condemn, in the strongest manner, the attack made against Monaliza “Monette” Bernardo, a our good friend and close associate of Mayor Jun Binay, who was shot inside her home in Barangay Olympia by unidentified motorcyle-riding gunmen.
It is truly alarming that these violent acts are being brazenly committed right in our midst, in the supposed safety of our homes, and without fear of the authorities.
I call on the local officials of Makati and the police to do their duty of ensuring the safety of our constituency. Do whatever is necessary to apprehend and bring these lawless elements to justice.
I enjoin the people of Makati to be vigilant and take extra precautions to ensure their safety and that of their loved-ones. We should look out for each other especially in these uncertain times.
Let us include the recovery of Monette in our intentions as we continue to pray for peace in our beloved city.
