Miss PH-Earth candidates display perfect shapes as rain showers
It was literally raining beauties at the recently concluded Press Presentation of the Miss Philippines Earth 2019 held at the pool-side of Diamond Hotel, June 24, 2019.
And indeed, the show must go on in spite of sudden rain while the candidates displayed their bodies wearing the two-piece mint green swimsuits made by Ricky Ramirez Abad and walking, turning and slaying bare-footed at the slippery ‘runway’ of the pool side. The program was hosted by Bianca Zarah Saldua, who was then crowned as Miss Earth-Air Philippines 2018.
Miss Philippines Earth 2019 brings forth a flower power year in its mission to add another deserving lady in its roster of blooming environmental ambassadors. And now on its 19th Edition the advocacy driven beauty event takes on a floral-themed year to celebrate the beauty of nature, and of course, the beauty of Filipino women.
This year will see 40 delegates competing for the prestigious title. They came from different parts of the Philippines and from Filipino communities abroad all of whom exude charm and, more importantly, possess the passion to further the cause of Miss Philippines Earth.
Part of the event yesterday also was when the media casted their votes in the “Darling of the Press” category. And here are the winners:

And another highlight by the way of the MPE 2019 is a tribute to staunch environmentalist Ms. Gina Lopez who has been known for her admirable work in protecting the environment, most notable the formation of Bantay Kalikasan and the rehabilitation of the Pasig River. She’s also an advocate of living a sustainable lifestyle.
“We thought it fitting to recognize the work of one of our environment heroes,” states Executive Vice President Lorraine Schuck.
“Gina Lopez has always supported Miss Philippines-Earth, and by honoring her and her achievements, we hope to inspire more people, especially the young women who have joined the pageant to emulate her love for and dedication to the environment.
