HBO Asia’s newest series starring Yul Servo premieres tonight
Actor-politician Yul Servo is back on screen! He is part of Erik Matti’s “Food Lore: Island of Dreams,” HBO Asia’s newest offering.
“Food Lore” presents a tale of a woman who searches for a better life than what her small island offers. Manila Rep. said in an interview that he always admires Matti’s works.
“Ang galing ni Direk Erik Matti. Actually, magaling naman talaga siya dahil pangalawang movie ko na ito sa kanya.
“Yung una ‘yung horror movie na Pasiyam. Ang gaan lang ng trabaho namin sa Food Lore: Island of Dreams, para kang hindi nagtatrabaho, para ka lang nagbabakasyon,” he shared.
The actor turned lawmaker clarified that he’s not quitting showbiz. Though busy as a public servant, he always finds time for his family and for his passion, which is acting.
“Acting is my passion,” he said.
Praised by his constituents, Servo promises to serve better and wishes to get more support from Manila.
Recent survey showed that he’s one of Manila’s most trusted public servants. Servo is known for his good record, serving his people with projects like Tulong Panghanapbuhay Para sa Displaced (TUPAD) Workers, Angat Pangkabuhayan Program, Government Internship Program, Baranggay Infrastructure Program (BIP), Local Infrastructure Program (LIP), Presinto Tres, Guro Ko, Hero Ko, Palarong Pinoy Fiesta Caravan, Lingap Buhay Program, Araw N’yo, Serbisyo Ko, Yul Now Serving: Lusog-Busog Meal, Araw Ko, Alay Ko, and Quick Response Operation.
The multi-accomplished congressman also known for his Nieto’s Day, a special program every Friday where he gives wheelchairs, nebulizers, crutches, walking canes, hearing aids, and oxygen tanks.
