Lizzo told her fans that they don’t need Instagram filters to be beautiful.
The Grammy Award-winning singer shared a video of herself using a beauty effect on her Instagram story on Saturday.
The “Truth Hurts” singer told fans that filters that alter users’ faces or change their features make her uncomfortable.
“Look at this y’all, these filters freak me out,” she said in the video.
“If you’re watching this I want you to know you got that no-filter beauty.”
The singer added that she doesn’t see a problem with beauty filters, but said that she wants people to know it’s OK to not have the blemish-free skin and exaggerated features that many of the effects portray.
