Newbie hunky Ricky Gumera shines in ‘Anak ng Macho Dancer’
Hottest movie of the year “Anak ng Macho Dancer” premiered last Saturday, January 30 at KTX and it received mixed reviews.
One viewer said, “it’s dark and it’s good.” Some said, “It’s just okay.”
This Joel Lamangan film featured Sean De Guzman, Charles Nathan, and Ricky Gumera who portrayed his character well.
Ricky played Kyle, a mysterious sex toy-assistant to Jay Manalo’s character. From the beginning of the movie, this 21-year old ramp model gave an incredible performance for a newbie.
He had this remarkable way of getting viewer’s attention through his eyes, less dialogue. He relied not on dialogue but on body movement.
In an interview last November, the 5’11 talent of Meg Perez said, “Hindi ko ini-expect na magagawa ko ‘yung mga pinagawa sa akin sa movie bilang si Kyle.”
No doubt he will receive more projects that will highlight more his acting gift. He’s preparing for his role in “Kontrabida,” new movie starring Nora Aunor under Joed Serrano’s film company.
