Daniel Padilla once again proves that he is today’s hottest and showbiz Teen King!

At the event of a peanut butter brand dubbed as ‘Peanut Butterific University Fun Day’ at Market Market Mall in Taguig City last Sunday, die-hard fans, mostly teens, young adults and even kids with their parents, patiently waited to personally meet their idol, showbiz Teen King Daniel Padilla or DJ to his loyal fans. While some got themselves contented watching from a distance and hear him sing his hit songs.
We witness how the mere mention of Daniel’s name elicited loud shouts and excitement from his fans. Then when group of fans were allowed to meet him at his waiting station, many of them started crying. Some were not content seeing him and has to touch the young man..
Even the organizers, as well as showbiz reporters were amazed. “Totoo nga pala, iniiyakan si Daniel ng mga fans niya dahil nakita lang siya nang malapitan,” they said.
The event was the culminating activity of cook off challenge where five teams from different universities vie off for the best dishes using the brand of peanut butter. Joining them on the stage were the country’s respected chefs led by Chef Boy Logro and Chef Victor Neri.
Of course, the highlight of the event is the mini-concert of the actor/singer Daniel Padilla, who together with her mom Karla Estrada, was launched late last year as brand ambassadors/celebrity endorsers of the peanut butter brand.
But what’s this we heard from some expectators during the mini concert? “E pano naman hindi sila (the fans) maiiyak? Bumili sila ng P700 worth peanut butter products para sa meet and greet, tapos di sila papasukin para makita si Daniel? Aba kahit ako magwawala!,” one said.
Another one butted in, ”Kami nga bumili rin worth P450 para sa VIP pass, pero hanggang dito lang kami sa gilid malapit sa stage area! Harang di ba? Di namin malapitan si Daniel!
Lucky for my daughter, who tagged along with me, as she had her photo taken with Daniel. She also had the chance to video-tape a portion of Daniel’s performance right on the stage!
Oh well… expect more crazy fans at movie houses tomorrow as Daniel and his equally iconic teen actress partner Kathryn Bernardo do the rounds for their Crazy Beautiful You movie made for them by Star Cinema.
