Former beauty queen Miriam Quiambao recently launched her book entitled “He Can Catch You When You Fall” published by Christ Strengthening Ministry (CSM) Publishing. The book tackles Miriam’s personal journey towards spiritual growth as well as the success and trials she’s had in her life. She pours out her heart in the book and provides a picture of what she believed was her fairy tale marriage that had turned into a nightmare.
In her book “He Can Catch You When You Fall”, Miriam talked about her life experiences from her rose to fame and fortune after joining the 1999 Miss Universe, life after her divorce and her roller coaster ride to life’s ups and downs in showbiz, real estate investments, and love life.
“I wrote about how I was able to pick up the pieces of my broken dreams with the help of God’s grace,” says Miriam, who was a Miss Universe First Runner Up in 1999. “I would like to inspire and empower women through my book. What I went through in life wasn’t an easy one, contrary to what most people believed.”
“I used to see life in a rose-tainted glass. But life isn’t about the ones we read about in fairy tales. Life is about keeping our faith in God. My faith has made me kept my emotional sanity. I acknowledge God’s love and mercy, the very reason why I was able to rise each time I fall,” relates Miriam.
“I’ve lost not just my self esteem but also my identity along the way. I’ve also suffered from psychological distress and being suicidal for some time, it was only when I’ve found God that everything properly fell into place.”

She needed to gain back her confidence after her marriage had crumbled before her. In God’s grace, she met Ardy Roberto. And the rest, as they say, is history. “I wasn’t looking for love then, but it came at the right place and time…this time with the right person.” She met Ardy Roberto who has been instrumental to allow Miriam to see her full potential as an author. Her husband, Ardy is the author of “Money and Marriage.” It’s a very practical book for money management and investment.
