ABS-CBN to Kris Aquino: She will always be a Kapamilya
After the Queen Of All Media Kris Aquino has decided to leave the Kapamilya Network after her 22 years reigning in the network, ABS-CBN released a statement wishing her well in her new journey.
“We thank Kris for the many years that she has been a Kapamilya bringing joy, hope, and inspiration to our viewers worldwide. She will always be a Kapamilya and we wish her well in her new journey”, the network stated.
The three-part instagram posts of the actress-host expressed her reasons on leaving the Kapamilya Network and happy with her decision, signing with APT Entertainment, Inc., which is closely associated with GMA-7.
She confirmed that she had a meeting with ABS-CBN but there was no definite show for her comeback.
“I perfectly understood- as much as I wanted to believe I was a pillar of the network, everybody is dispensable. And I say that with no bitterness- just HONESTY. So to all of you saying please don’t leave- it wasn’t a choice that was just mine to make. I take my share of the responsibility. And I say that with so much gratitude in my heart”, Aquino expressed.
Her manager Boy Abunda, has been very supported to her friend Kris, reached out to Mr. Tony Tuviera.
“Our plan was initially just a digital initiative- I know you miss my #foodtrips & my #cooking #recipes #roadtrips & #travel… But maybe my guardian angel in heaven (could it have been you, Mom?) was working overtime & what was an attempt at something new & experimental, evolved into a vision & a presentation that felt perfect for who I am now & for our TV collaboration”, the actress-host shared.
Aquino seemed excited with her new journey and thanked ABS-CBN for her fruitful stayed in the network.
