Ai Ai Delas Alas on Sunday Pinasaya’s Success: “It’s Our Time”
The ratings have spoken: “Sunday Pinasaya” is giving “ASAP” a run for their money. Three weeks into its start, GMA 7’s new noontime show is a legitimate threat to its ABS-CBN counterpart. That being said, actress-comedienne Ai Ai Delas Alas attributes their success to perfect timing.
She said that everything just went down to perfect timing. At a time when comedy and AlDub are trending, the format of their show fits in. She added that it also helps to have co-hosts with a steady following such as Alden Richards, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, and Marian Rivera. Aside from that, they attribute their success to God and heed his presence before every episode. She also mentioned that viewers are switching to their show because it makes them feel good and happy.
Delas Alas also noticed that their rival program has made changes to their format since they started airing. Since these changes are seemingly an effort to match their show, she said that they are flattered for this time, it’s the other show trying to copy what they are doing.
Finally, she exclaimed happiness about the new lease in her showbiz career. Despite the personal struggles that she endured, she is very thankful that GMA still believes in her magic. Before Sunday Pinasaya even replaced Sunday All-Stars, she was already given a role in the primetime teleserye “Let the Love Begin.”
