Aldrin Palma is grateful for his accomplishments
Aldrin is blessed with the model’s body and towering height of 5’11, a good disposition in life, big dreams and determination – all in his young age of 21.
But Aldrin isn’t really new in modelling having won several male beauty pageants during his college days.
“First time ko mag-pageant in 2012 for the Mr. and Miss Junior Thomasian Executive Association. As a representative of 2 nd year students, nanalo ako as 2 nd runner up as Mr. Commerce. Then the following year, isa po ako sa mga napiling Marketing Ambassadors ng UST after the Mr. Marketing Ambassador contest.”
“I’m grateful for what I’ve accomplished especially first time ko po sumali. Do your best and do not expect much — I think yan yung best na pwedeng matutunan ng isang candidate sa isang competition”, Aldrin said.
Last year, Aldrin made it again and won as Model of the Philippines 2015 in the Metro Elite Bachelors competition. He also received the DESIGNERS CHOICE AWARD in this pageant. Today, he’s looking forward to join other contests like Mr. Philippines if given a chance.
Right now, Aldrin considers his greatest achievement is to be able to buy a new house and lot for his family. Growing up in a broken family, he knew how hard it was for her mom, the beauteous Joy Palma, currently the operations manager of Magoo’s Pizza, to make both ends meet for him and his brother.
“I just graduated last year po and since then I have been working at PAL and saving up for a new home for my family. Sa September po lilipat na kami ng bahay sa Cavite. Bale one year ko na po siya hinuhulugan. At yung cash award ko sa Metro Elite Bachelors, yun ang ginamit ko na down payment,” Aldrin said with pride.
If given the chance to be in showbiz, his dream role is playing lead roles in teleserye like Jake Cuenca and perhaps to be included in the dream cast of John Lloyd Cruz-Bea Alonzo starrer. Aldrin said his showbiz crushes include Janella Salvador and Julia Barretto. While waiting for his chance at modelling career through his agents, Aldrin works hard – on a night shift – and balances his time to keep in shape by going to the gym regularly and enjoying his job.
