The PHA launches PUSONGPINAY that informs all women that heart disease is the top killer disease, and that it’s important to always go to doctor and ask.
PUSONGPINAY (visit PUSONGPINAY.com) is developed by PHA (Council on Women’s Cardiovascular Health).
It’s Showtime host thanks God that she’s living healthy, no maintenance medicine to take.
“Sana lahat ng mga babae, will take time to take good care of their heart,” Amy says. She adds, “I do a lot din naman to keep my body healthy. I exercise, I do pelatise thrice a week, I walk para sa cholesterol and sugar level ko though hindi pa naman tumataas. I’ve been doing that for the past 10 years or even more. I’m very happy and proud to say na wala akong maintenance medicine.”
Fashion icon says she’s very strict when it comes to what to eat.
Heart shares, “I really make it to a point, that I have a lot of fish and vegetables and go to websites, and ask a lot of nutritionists what to eat. I don’t cheat diet right away. I just eat healthy. I wake up at 4 am. My health is my priority because we only live once. Kung hindi kaya ng katawan ko na magtrabaho, hindi ko talaga pipilitin. I don’t wanna die. I try not to worry negative or stressful things.”
The two empowered women express that women should listen more to their body and should always find time to go to doctor. They both agree that PUSONGPINAY advocacy is very timely and helpful.
