Andrea returns to ‘Pasional’ set
Kapuso actress Andrea Torres is set to return to the filming of her international film Pasional.
The actress has arrived in Naga City and will soon head to Caramoan where some of the movies scenes will be shot.
Pasional will have scenes both in Argentina and the Philippines.
A few days ago, Andrea personally welcomed her co-star Marcelo Melingo, along with the film’s production, as they arrived in the Philippines.
Last year, Andrea flew to Argentina and stayed there for two weeks to film some of the movie’s scenes.
In Pasional, Andrea will be playing Mahalia, a tango dancer and a jury member for the International Tango Dance Festival while Marcelo Melingo who will play a biologist named Norberto.
The movies is co-production among movie and television studio Malevo Films, GMA Network, producer Ferdinand Dimadura, and associate producer Agustín Vargas Clerico.

In an exclusive interview for Kapuso Insider, Mr. M quipped that these youngsters indeed had to be very special because the selection committee were very “choosy” this time about who would be trained and eventually launched as new artists for the network.
“They had to have all those qualities which we think will capture the imagination of the public. They had to have ‘yung tinatawag nilang ‘It.’ May ‘it’ sila, mayroon silang garbo, mayroon silang something,” he said.
Just like what he did with Bea Alonzo, John Lloyd Cruz, Heart Evangelista, and many of today’s big stars who were practically unknown in the beginning, Mr. M simply relied on his eyes and instincts to see through the “sparkle” within these showbiz hopefuls.
True enough, his hunch proves true every time as his vision in seeing who will make it big has never let him down.
“You don’t know what it is but it’s there, you can see it, you can feel it. They’re special,” he said.
Furthermore, a sea of young dreamers had to go through a rigorous 6-month process of intense scanning by his team together with GMA executives so they would all unanimously choose the next batch of GMA stars.
“Walang tapon doon sa final list. Walang tapon, in our parlance. These people have all or most of the qualities that we’re looking for. Sana makita ‘yan ng public when we finally launch them,” he said.
To heat things up, the members of Sparkada have officially been launched on All-Out Sundays.
They are Vince Maristela, Roxie Smith, Kirsten Gonzales, Tanya Ramos, Anjay Anson, Vanessa Pena, Sean Lucas, Dilek Montemayor, Cheska Fausto, Saviour Ramos, Larkin Castor, Lauren King, Kim Perez, Michael Sager, Caitlyn Stave, Jeff Moses, and Raheel Bhyria.
What’s more, Sparkada’s theme song “Kung Ikaw ang Kasama” was sung by newest Kapuso singer, Zephanie.
As members of Sparkada are fairly new in the industry, the Kapuso team behind them already jump-started their training to get them ready for the projects slated for them.
“We’re preparing them for the shows. We’re intensifying the training, the workshops. And we’ll probably have script readings and go-sees, para makita talaga kung tama ‘yung kombinasyon, kung tama ‘yung casting,” he shared.
Because of this, Mr. M is confident that Sparkada will be the newest teen craze to grace television from the Kapuso network.
“We hope really that the Sparkada can go to their phases through the programs that they’re assigned. Hopefully, they all become future stars for GMA. We are confident that, at least, two or three of them will become idols and the rest will become very good stars for GMA,” he said.
“I think they all prepared for it as far as the technique [is concerned]. They work hard naman eh, if they do that, if they persevere, meron silang fighting spirit, you will find future stars for GMA,” he ended.
