Ara Mina compares ‘Immaculada’ to works of Ishmael Bernal

Sep 26, 2017

Immaculada star Ara Mina is happy that she and Aiko Melendez have already patched up their differences.

“For me, past is past na kung ano man ang nangyari. So, I don’t think na magkaroon pa ng grudge dahil pareho naman kaming nasaktan,” she said.

She clarified that it was not the first time that she greeted Aiko contrary to reports that they settled their rift during the wake of the father of colleague Rommel Placente.

“Actually, nagkita na kami before sa wedding ni Rufa Mae at nagbeso-beso na,” she claimed.

She also cleared that their reconciliation is not a put-on since both of them have movies in the can.

Sabi niya, since, parehas tayong single, mag-date tayo,” she said.

Now that all is well between them, she said that she’s willing to work with Aiko in a project.

Siyempre, magaling din siyang artista so, looking forward iyong mga tao dahil never pa kaming nagkasama in one film or in one shoot,” she declared.

It could remembered that Ara and Aiko sparked controversies when they got involved in love triangles with their exes, Joemari Yllana and Patrick Meneses.

Speaking of Ara, she is mighty proud of her project “Immaculada (Pag-ibig ng isang Ina) under Blank Pages and Royal Film Productions, Inc.

It tackles a mother’s different kind of love.

I said, it’s about time also to do another drama na matindi. Dapat i-achieve mo siya at balikan mo iyong nagawa mo before.

She’s also glad that she’s reunited with her co-stars Elizabeth Oropesa and Simon Ibarra in her latest film.

“We did “Ang Huling Birhen sa Lupa” na nagbigay sa akin ng awards. Sabi ko, masaya ako dahil parang reunion movie namin ang “Immaculada,” she quipped.

Ara has a love scene with a younger man played by Akihiro Blanco in the film.

“I don’t mind doing it with a younger man.
