Beautiful Brides, OPM singer-songwriter Kitchie Nadal and Starstruck winner turned Kapamilya actress Jewel Mische

All brides are beautiful and are the centerpiece of every wedding celebration. Perhaps that’s the reason why the best of everything – from the wedding gown, shoes, makeup, hairstyle, even the bouquet of flowers she’s carrying – is taken meticulously care of and accorded to the bride.
After Heart Evangelista and Yeng Constantino, here come OPM singer-songwriter Kitchie Nadal and Starstruck winner turned Kapamilya actress Jewel Mische as real life stunning brides.
Living up to her image, the cool “rock and roll bride” Kitchie reportedly did the makeup for herself and wore a ready-to-wear wedding gown!
According to a blog post of Niña Rosario, Kitchie’s close friend, the singer got the dress in a boutique in Makati. The singer tried the wedding gown and she instantly knew it was the perfect dress for her.
“The story about her dress floored everyone and this should show all brides around the world that sometimes it’s about the woman and not the dress,” Niña said.
True enough, Kitchie was a picture of a glowing bride in the wedding ceremony held in Tagaytay and at the post-wedding celebration in Cebu.
The autumn-themed Christian wedding ceremony was held at Hacienda Isabella on February 26, and it was followed by celebration at Alta Vista in Cebu.
“At the party, everyone pitched in their contributions to the decorations. Artist friends helped out with the floral arrangements and even painted ‘Carlos and Anna’ on a banner in the early afternoon that even the groom helped set up,” said another friend of Kitchie’s party in Cebu.
The OPM singer married her boyfriend of four years, Spanish journalist and NGO worker Carlos Lopez, who’s helping out typhoon victims at Bantayan Island.
Kitchie is best know for his songs ‘Huwag na Huwag Mong Sasabihin’, ‘Same Ground’, ‘Bulong’ and revival of OPM hit ‘Himala’.
Jewel, on the other hand, lived out her dream with American boyfriend Alister Kurzer in a winter wedding ceremony in the US.
Jewel and Alister got engaged in December 2013 and was married in Michigan on Sunday.
“Family and Friends, wherever in the world you are, thank you.. in whatever language or way you wish to greet and celebrate with us.. thank you!! We love you,” the actress said in her post.
The newlyweds said a second wedding ceremony would be held in the Philippines soon.
Jewel is one of today’s modern brides who advocates for ‘intimacy and sex after marriage’. In earlier interviews, Jewel revealed first date with husband: “When we got together one day, he was like, ‘You know, it would be very hard for me not to kiss you. But I want to wait until we get married, I hope you don’t mind.’ “And I was just shocked!!! I couldn’t believe what I just heard!!”
She continued, “That’s just one of the many confirmations that he is the future husband I have envisioned! We both have the same biblical mind set. We view sex as a priceless treasure box and as God’s wedding present. Waiting to kiss makes this much more attainable!”
