Beauty queen Faye Tangonan enjoys acting, says she admires Vilma Santos
Sunud-sunod ang acting awards na natamo lately ng beauty queen turned-actress na si Faye Tangonan.
Nang pumutok ang pandemic na hatid ng COVID-19 ay nanalo siyang Best Supporting Actress sa Oniros Film Awards sa Italy para sa Covered Candor (Tutop).
Two days ago naman, nagwaging Best Supporting Actress si Ms. Faye sa dalawang international filmfests.
Ito ay mula sa Tagore International Film Festival, India at sa Festigious International Film Festival, Los Angeles, California para sa parehong pelikula.
Sobra ang kagalakan ni Ms. Faye nang kunin namin ang reaksiyon niya sa latest achievement.
Sambit ni Ms. Faye, “I’m stoked! I couldn’t believe it! God is indeed great!”
Aniya pa, “I feel like my first international winning at Oniros Film Festival in Italy is not a fluke ‘coz I’ve got another award, this time with Tagore International Film Festival in India and Festigious International Film Festival, Los Angeles. It’s God’s favor indeed!”
Ano ang kanyang role rito?
“I played the mean sister of Ron Macapagal. I’m a prostitute and a victim of a crime sa movie’ng ito.”
Ang Covered Candor ay tinatampukan ng actor/director/producer na si Romm Burlat.
Kasama rin sa pelikula ang Bidaman finalist na si Ron Macapagal. Ang director nito ay si Marvin Gabas at ito ay produced ng ROMMantic Entertainment Productions.
Paano siya nag-prepare sa role na prostitute?
“Uhm, our director is my mentor. He’s a great help with my acting skills,” maikling sambit pa niya.
Nabanggit din niya ang aktres na wish sundan ang yapak.
“I wanna follow the footsteps of the prominent Star For All Seasons turned politician, Vilma Santos. Vilma Santos has a superb acting skills. She’s one of the few actresses who has a heart to serve the people.”
Nang usisain naman namin kung sino ang aktres na mae-excite siya kapag nakatrabaho, ito ang tugon ni Ms. Faye:
“If given a chance, I wanna do a scene with the Diamond Star, Maricel Soriano. She’s a great actress and recipients of numerous honors and lifetime awards.”
Kapag safe na ay posibleng tapusin na nila ang movie with Direk Romm Burlat titled And I Loved Her. Co-star dito ni Ms. Faye sina Richard Quan, Teresa Loyzaga, Ron Macapagal, Keanna Reeves, Rez Cortez, at iba pa.
Introducing sa pelikula ang talented na batang si Zairah Madrid na nakabase sa Canada.
Ito ang third film ni Ms. Faye na naging introducing sa suspense-drama movie na Bakit Nasa Huli Ang Simula, opposite Ron Macapagal sa isang May-December affair.
Ang pelikula ay ipalalabas sa selected theaters very soon at tinatampukan din nina William Martinez, Lance Raymundo, at iba pa.
