A bloody Sylvia in ‘Nay’

Oct 30, 2017

After moving us to tears with her heartfelt performance as Gloria, the ill-fated mother stricken with Alzheimer’s disease in the toprating Kapamilya teleserye “The Greatest Love,” award-winning actress Sylvia Sanchez is back to challenge our wits this time in “Nay,” her first movie lead role where she plays a shapeshifter (aswang).

“First time kong gaganap ng aswang. Literal siyang aswang na kumakain ng tao,” she said.

Unlike the usual ‘aswang’ stories we get to see on the screen, “Nay” is an ‘aswang’ with a twist.

Aswang siyang may puso,” she pointed out.

She even told that she cried after reading the script.

Being an endorser of leading beauty products, she said she did not mind being deglamorized for the role.

She also said that she was not bothered with the gore and violence in the movie.

It’s also no big deal for her to have a ‘kissing scene’ with Enchong Dee, her ward in the movie.

Directed by Kip Oebanda of “Bar Boys”and “Tumbang Preso” fame, “Nay” also stars 2016 Cinemaone Original’s best supporting actor Jameson Blake (2 Cool 2 Be 4gotten).
