Christi Fider, new artist to add to your playlist
When Christi Fider was just a little girl, her family discovered her talent. She had that great music taste as a child singing songs from Sarah G to Eraserheads.
“I usually sing pop songs. I also like Broadway tunes as well. It depends on my mood, really. Sometimes I have the mood to like indie musicians,” she said in a statement.
Now that she’s fully grown up woman, she listens to chill singers Marion Aunor and Moira dela Torre.
“My music range is very wide. If the song resonates with me, or I like the artists singing it, I’d probably sing it too,” Christi shared.
The 20-year old bubbly artist also describes herself as very family-oriented person who values her family’s advice.
“My family is very supportive especially my mom, she wants me to really go for my dreams.”
In an interview, she said she really wants to be an actress and a singer. She was also part of the Adober Studios.
Christi is living her dream now as she promotes her debut single “Teka, Teka, Teka,” written by award-winning composer Joven Tan who also composed “Ano’ng Nangyari Sa Ating Dalawa” and “Pare, Mahal Mo Raw Ako.”
“With the song Teka, Teka, Teka, I felt that many people can relate to it. Since it’s my debut single, I want something that pleasant to listen too because many people today are lonely. If they listen to the song, it will give them hope and joy.”
Several celebrities have used the song as their TikTok anthem of choice.
“Zeus Collins was the first one who made a TikTok for it. Of course, I was surprised when he used it and even choreographed a dance for it and the people followed it.”
Christi added, “I was likewise surprised with the people’s response to the song. They found the song danceable, uplifting. The bubbly pop version suits my personality.”
Released by Star Music, “Teka, Teka, Teka” is now available on Spotify and other digital music platforms.
