‘Dayo’ director emphasizes the importance of story-telling
Ipinahayag ni Direk Sid Pascua na sa kanyang unang pelikula sa Vivamax titled Dayo, mas tumutok siya sa istorya nito at added flavor na lang ang mga love scene na makikita rito.
Natanong kasi si Direk Sid sa media conference nito ukol sa sexy scenes o maiinit na love scenes na sangkap ng kanilang pelikula, dahil sa Vivamax app ito napapanood.
Pahayag niya, “Well, in terms sa story ng Dayo, we wanted to make sure na may kuwento siya. But of course, this is coming out in Vivamax, we saw the love scenes as part of the film. Pero we make sure na sinusundan namin iyon ni Quinn, na naka-center pa rin siya roon sa story.
“And the love scenes that we have is more like parang siya yung magic sarap ng pelikula, it adds flavor. We wanted it to be the added flavor, but we wanted to save the center of the story ng Dayo,” sambit pa ni Direk Sid.
Tampok sa pelikula sina Rica Gonzales, Audrey Avila, Marco Gomez, Nathan Rojas, at Calvin Reyes. Kasama rin dito sina Sue Prado at AJ Oteyza.
Gaano ka-sexy ang pelikula niyang Dayo?
Wika ni Direk Sid, “Kung sexy wise, with intonation doon sa story with the characters na ginamit namin, we were able to justify… I think it’s very high.
“Kasi kapag napanood na ninyo yung Dayo, makikita nyo sina Kakai (Audrey) at Elsa (Rica), magkaiba yung dynamics nila sa when it come to sex scenes. So sa Dayo, makikita mo kung bakit kay Rica is more sensual and then much more free spirited yung atake ng love scene namin kay Kakai.”
Pagpapatuloy pa niya, “And of course it was really very challenging for me, my first, for me roon ako pinaka-natakot. So what I did, we really prepared for it, we spend time with the actors. Tinatanong ko sila kung ano iyong limitations, yung comfort zone nila. Then kami ni Quinn, we really choreographed to them, pinapa-choreo namin sa kanila yung love scenes before it happens.
“So ako kasi, feeling ko as a director, it’s my responsibility to make sure that I capture every moment ng acting nila, na hindi ko sila kailangang paulit-ulitin. That’s what we did in Dayo, so, everything was choreographed and we make sure that they were very comfortable with every scene.
“Then we showed it to them afterwards, kasi feeling ko, yung idea of showing to them, makes them feel more like gusto nila yung ginagawa nila, hindi sila nabastos, they’re happy with the output. So it gives them more energy to continue…
“But in terms of the sexiness, I think we were able to come up with something different with Dayo,” mahabang paliwanag pa ni Direk Sid.
Ibang klaseng sexy movie nga ang Dayo na hatid ng Viva Films and 3:16 Media Network ni Ms. Len Carrillo. Showing na ngayon ang pelikulang mula sa screenplay ni Quinn Carrillo na siya ring 2nd assistant director nito.
Incidentally, si Direk Sid ang nagbigay ng opportunity sa actress-writer na si Quinn para maging second assistant director dito.
Sa Dayo, gumaganap si Rica bilang isang dancer na pokpok na naghahangad magbagong buhay, kaya dumayo sa malayong probinsiya ng La Union para makapagsimulang muli. Pero, nasundan pa rin siya ng kanyang nakaraan.
