Demi Lovato ends relationship with actor Max Ehrich
News from Vulture
On September 24, People broke the news that Demi Lovato and her boyfriend, actor Max Ehrich, have called it quits, ending their engagement after two months.
“It was a tough decision, but Demi and Max have decided to go their separate ways to focus on their respective careers,” a source told People.
“They have respect and love for one another and will always cherish the time they spent together.”
The two began their whirlwind relationship in March of 2020, and fell right into quarantining together.
“We started dating. We immediately went into quarantine. I knew I loved him the night I met him,” Lovato previously explained.
“So a week later we went into quarantine. I was like, ‘Look, we’re quarantining together. Um, cause I love you.’”
The feeling was mutual, and Ehrich proposed to Lovato on July 22 on the beach in Malibu.
Max Ehrich is now claiming that Demi Lovato dumped him via the news media.
In a series of messages posted to Instagram Stories, Ehrich wrote that he discovered their engagement was over while in the midst filming Southern Gospel, a Christian movie.
“Imagine finding out to the status of your relationship through a tabloid,” he wrote.
“This is the God’s honest truth of how I found out about the ending of engagement and have people from my film who saw the whole thing go down and helped me get back into character to continue my job.
“I had cast and crew with families relying on me to do my job.” Ehrich added that he still “loves and forgives everyone involved.” Lovato has yet to respond.
