Drake sets record; wins 13 Billboard Music awards
At the 2017 Billboard Music Awards, renowned rapper Drake won 13 awards, beating Adele with her 12 awards in 2012.
His biggest achievements this year were top artist, top male artist, and top rap album for ‘Views.’
The BBMA was hosted by hip-hop artist Ludacris and actress Vanessa Hudgens with performances by Miley Cyrus, The Chainsmokers, and rapper Nicki Minaj.
Queen Beyonce got five awards but wasn’t able to attend the awarding night. The Chainsmokers bagged their four awards including top collaboration.
While Blake Shelton received his award for top country artist.
Cher was this year’s recipient of Icon Award for her contribution in the music industry.
Also, highlight of the night was Celine Dion’s heartfelt performance of her iconic song ‘My Heart Will Go On.’
