Erik Matti shuts Duterte supporters
Award-winning director Erik Matti received negative feedback from Pres. Duterte’s supporters.
The director posted on his facebook account, cursing people who voted for Pres. Duterte during May 2016 elections, after the President proclaimed Martial Law in Mindanao.
Pres. Duterte’s supporters threw strong disagreements against the director. These supporters got Duterte’s back and fought for him.
Last May 25, Matti posted on his facebook again, fighting for his belief.
“There is nothing wrong with being silent about things even when the country is in disarray. But to be silent and still criticize those who speak up is the height of apathy and cowardice.”
Jim Paredes, who known for his strong opinions against Pres. Duterte, spoke and supported Matti’s opinion.
Paredes said, “Salamat Erik! You said it for many people.”
