FDCP heads Philippine Delegation to Hong Kong Filmart

In fulfillment of its mandate to undertake activities that will promote the Filipino local film industry in foreign markets, the Film Development Council of the Philippines is heading the country’s delegation to the 2017 Hong Kong Filmart on March 13-17 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibit Centre.
As one of Asia’s largest entertainment market, the HK Filmart boasts of around 800 exhibitors from 60 counties and regions, and is attended by internationally renowned film producers, distributors, investors and professionals.
The FDCP has put up a Philippine Pavilion in the Convention Centre which brings together five (5) government agencies and fourteen (14) film production houses and service providers. The Pavilion will serve as the central hub for foreign guests and visitors to meet with the participants (See attached list of Philippine participants).
“We are very happy with the amazing turnout of film companies that we will be showcasing in our Philippine Pavilion this year. The HK Filmart is a great opportunity for us to network and explore possible cooperation with our foreign counterparts. With this convention, we hope to not only show the world the best of the best of the Philippine industry but more importantly, to widen our understanding and collaboration with the international market,” said FDCP Chairperson and CEO Liza Diño.
In celebration with the delegation and the Hong Kong Filipino community, FDCP will be also be hosting a Philippine Night and Philippine Day at the their Pavilion on March 14 and 15, respectively.
