FDCP honors comedy icon Vice Ganda
The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) honored Phenomenal Superstar Vice Ganda last night for her outstanding contribution to the Filipino comedy in television and films.
Recognizing her comedy style, FDCP also highlighted Vice’s box office awards. A representative from Star Cinema accepted the award and read Vice’s message to her fellow awardees and FDCP.
“Malaking honor ang trophy na ito. Nalungkot ako kasi hindi ko siya nakuha kahapon. I wasn’t there to personally accept my trophy and personally say my speech,” she said during the Saturday episode of It’s Showtime on GTV.
The Kapamilya star added, “Nagpapasalamat po ako sa FDCP for this award. Maraming-maraming salamat po sa pagkilala niyo sa naging kontribusyon ko sa industriya, sa pelikula. Nagpapasalamat ako sa FDCP for considering me to be one of the few celebrities na binigyan niyo ng tropeo kahapon.”
Vice jokingly said, “This is very timely. The design is very consistent. After a few days, mayroong award. Ganun ‘yun. Alam na alam ng mga Madlang Pipol ‘yan. Gets na gets na nila ‘yan.”
The comedy queen dedicated her award to Wenn Deramas, LGBTQ+ community, Viva Vilms, Star Cinema, ABS-CBN, and Madlang Pipol.
“Buong pagpapakumbaba kong iniaalay ang award na ito sa lahat ng Madlang Pipol na patuloy na naniniwala, patuloy na tumatawa sa lahat ng mga ginagawa ko, at sa patuloy na nagmamahal sa akin unconditionally,” she ended.
