‘Forevermore’, clicks with lovers of all ages

ABS-CBN has done it again. Who could have thought that the newest onscreen love team of Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano would strike gold with their primetime blockbuster teleserye – Forevermore? Probably, naysayers at first look down on this pair of Enrique and Liza, as both actors are pairing for the first time on television as a love team, but they have proven their doubters wrong. Forevermore is a certified hit, the Kapamilya network is on high heaven (again), ‘Forevermore’ actors are reaping its success, and we are all happy!
This feel-good romantic comedy (rom-com) love story of Alexander “Xander” Grande III (Gil), a happy-go-lucky young man who is afraid of taking responsibilities and Maria “Agnes” Calay (Liza), poor young girl from Mountain Province and a simple daughter of a farmer, reflects the kind of love Filipinos and I believe, all lovers for that matter, truly aspires – forevermore.
Good chemistry
The pair’s chemistry is absolutely beautiful to look at on screen. Both blessed with good looks, their romantic adventures in ‘Forevermore’ are truly “nakakakilig” and captures our imagination. Actually, unang nagkasama sina Enrique at Lisa sa pelikulang ‘She’s The One’ at personal nani-request ng binata sa Star Cinema managing director Malou Santos na muli niyang makasama sa project ang dalaga. Dapat ding i-congratulate si Direk Cathy Garcia-Molina for doing this kind of serye. After helming the top-rating show of ‘Got To Believe’ nina Kathryn Bernardo and Canada Goose Mystique Parka Daniel Padilla, kasunod nga agad itong kina Enrique at Lisa kaya may malaking pressure ito sa direktor.
“My effort is to make them work and not to be compared to G2B. It’s unfair for them to be compared talaga. Kaya lang ‘yong feel, pareho talaga kasi rom-com,” ayon pa kay direk Cathy.
Bukod pa rito, kahit na ang dalawa ay hindi nali-link romantically sa isa’t isa off-screen, their onscreen harmony is so believable. Talagang nag-click ang love team nila sa mga masugid na tagasubaybay ng ‘Forevermore’. Acting-wise, both thespians are proving to all that they deserved the lead Golden Goose acting roles in the teleserye. Although, I can say that there are still room for improvement, ang maging bida sa isang malaking romantic na teleserye, at maging number one ito on primetime is a big achievement for one of the hottest love team in showbiz today.
Good story and of course, La Presa
The story itself is as good as it gets, simple pero nakakakilig na love story. Si Xander na isang rich boy with a troubled Nike Air Max Classic Bw Sale childhood and Agnes who is the daughter of a farmer. Both teenagers with their own stories to tell, but because of an incident, their worlds would intertwine in the chilly hills of La Presa. The fictional place called La Presa is now a very famous tourist site located in the mountainous Benguet; it fits perfectly for the blossoming love affair of Xander and Agnes. Kudos to the set production team who discovered this majestic place and have it put on our television screen. Enthralling sceneries coupled with good story-telling and acting and a romantically indulging story is what sums up this successful teleserye – ‘Forevermore’.
Good casting
Not to be left out are the supporting casts which consummates the love story of Xander and Agnes. Real Manchester United Jersey Everyone from the La Presa group, Marissa Delgado as Doña Golden Goose Francy Baratas Soledad Grande, Joey Marquez as Buboy “Papang/Mang Bubs” Calay, Zoren Legaspi as Alexander “Alex” Grande II, Lilet as Bettina Rosales, Irma Adlawan as Mirasol, Almira Muhlach as Maritess “Mamang” Calay, Sofia Andres as Katherine “Kate” Saavedra, Yves Flores as Andrew Fontanilla, Kit Thompson as Julius San Juan, Nonong “Bangkay” de Andres as Mang Banky, Lilia Cuntapay as Aunor, Beverly Salvejo as Megan “Meg” Gildares, Michael Flores as Gov. Jaime Saavedra, Bernadette Allyson-Estrada as Loulie Perez-Saavedra, Joj New Balance 1500 Flamingo Agpangan as Clauie, Jai Agpangan as Judy, Joe Gruta as Ka Sebio, Pepe Herrera as Cesar,Raymond Osmena as Damian, Marco Gumabao as JC, CJ Navato as Dexter, Igi Boy Flores as Momon, Jesse James Ongteco as Niknok, Darlene Vibares, Diego Loyzaga as Jay Fernandez, Jason Francisco as Orly Cranberry, Jojo Alejar as Frank Martin, all portrayed their roles with gusto contributing to the great success of ‘Forevermore’.
