Your Guide To 48th Box Office Entertainment Awards

The Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation Box Office Entertainment Awards honored Filipino actors, films, and TV programs based on its commercial success.

Last Box Office Entertainment Awards was aired on ABS-CBN’s Sunday’s Best where attended by actors in their generations.

John Lloyd Cruz, Bea Alonzo (A Second Chance) Vice Ganda and Coco Martin (Beauty and the Bestie) were honored as Phenomenal Box Office Stars last year.

This year, on its  48th season, Kapamilya stars Vice Ganda and Coco Martin will once again be awarded as Phenomenal Stars of Philippine Cinema next month.

Their movie, The Super Parental Guardians, which was produced by Star Cinema, brought Vice and Coco to success.

In addition, Coco will be given Breakthrough Performance by an Actor in A Single Program award for his long-running primetime series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.

Also, the said Kapamilya primetime series will be awarded as Most Popular TV Program Primetime Drama.

For FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, Arjo Atayde will receive TV Supporting Actor of the Year, Susan Roces will get TV Supporting Actress of the Year, Yassi Pressman will receive Most Promising TV Actress of the Year, Awra Briguela will get Breakthrough Child Star of Movies and TV, and Onyok Pineda will receive Most Popular Male Child Performer.

Kapuso Actor Dingdong Dantes will bag his Film Actor of the Year for Star Cinema’s The Unmarried Wife.

Star For All Seasons Vilma Santos-Recto will bag her Film Actress of the Year for Star Cinema’s Everything About Her.

The TV Actor and Actress of the Year will be given to Jericho Rosales (Magpahanggang Wakas) and Kim Chiu (The Story Of Us).

Meanwhile, Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla (Barcelona, Star Cinema) will be honored as Box Office Queen and King.

Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo will be awarded as Female Recording Artist of the Year for her The Greatest Unknown album.

The 48th Box Office Entertainment Awards night will be held at Henry Lee Irwin Theater, Ateneo de Manila University, May 14.
