
Your Guide To 4th QCinema Film Festival
The 4th QCinema Film Festival will be held from October 13 to 21 at Ayala Trinoma, Gateway Cinemas, Robinson’s Galleria, and UP Town Center with a theme “One City One World.”
There are 13 feature films and 8 shorts that you should watch out for in this year’s QCinema Film Festival.
Added to the list is the new category, the Asian Next Wave, which features films made by Asian filmmakers.
There are also special screenings in this 4th season of QCinema aside from the films in competition including its opening film Park Chan-wook’s The Handmaiden which was recently nominated at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival.
Great works of Polish filmmaker Krzysztof Kieślowski including Blue (1993), White (1994), and Red (1994) will be screened at the festival as part of the celebration of his 20th death anniversary.
For the RainbowQC will show films that tells the story of the LGBTQ community, while for the Screen International section will screen films that have been praised in the international film festival.
For the Back Throwback, digitally restored films will be shown. For Cinema Rehiyon, films from across the country will be shown. And for the Pinoy Spotlight, it features films like Area by Louie Ignacio and Blanka by Kohki Hasei.
The 2016 QCinema Film Festival awards night will be held on October 13 for the films in competition.
