HIT: Love You To The Stars and Back receives good reviews; Gusto ko syang dalhin sa Batangas– Joshua to Julia
“Love You To The Stars and Back,” Joshua Garcia and Julia Barreto’s follow up movie after the highly successful “Vince and Kath and James” is a road trip movie about two lonely people who bump into each other and embark on a journey that would teach them unexpected lessons in life and love.
Given the chance, Joshua would also like to take Julia on a road trip.
“Siguro, I will take her dito lang sa Mother Ignacia. Kasi, busy kami sa aming trabaho,” he said in jest.
“But, seriously, gusto ko siyang dalhin sa Batangas dahil naroon ang family at relatives ko,” he added.
The young actor also did not deny that his “crush” on Julia dated back during the look test of their first movie.
“Sobra kong nae-enjoy ang presence niya at sobra niya akong napapasaya. Napapasaya niya talaga ako nang sobra,” he said.
After working together in two movies, he admitted that he has grown familiar with Julia.
“Alam ko na kung paano siya patatawanin. Alam ko na kung paano siya iple-please. Even iyong slight mood swings niya. Alam ko na, kung paano babalansehin,” he pointed out.
Although he started courting Julia early this year, he said he does not have the confidence to vocalize his intentions yet.
“Nakakatakot kasing magtanong. Kasi, puwede siyang maghindi. Kasi sa ngayon, sa trabahong pumapasok sa amin, ang hirap siyang sayangin. Kahit tayo naman pong lahat, natatakot po tayong ma-reject,” he said.
However, when he learned that Julia confessed that she also likes him, Joshua could not contain his excitement.
“Nakaka-flutter po,” he remarked.
According to Joshua, it is also his first time to be directed by the original ‘hugot’ director Antoinette Jadaone (“That Thing Called Tadhana,” “Relaks, It’s Just Pag-ibig,” “All You Need is Pag-ibig”) and “Love You To The Stars and Back.”
“Masaya po ako kasi nakatrabaho ko na siya. Kasi, kahit sino naman pong actor, gusto po siyang makatrabaho,” he concluded.
Love You To The Stars and Back also features a superb supporting cast led by Cherie Pie Picache, Carmina Villaroel, Ariel Rivera, Maricar Reyes-Poon, Edgar Allan Guzman, Joaquin Reyes, Eda Nolan and Belle Mariano.
The ultimate romantic road trip movie is showing in all cinemas nationwide.
