Claudine Barretto recently posted on her Instagram account, a photo of Etiquette for Mistresses And What Wives Can Learn From Them, a contentious book of Julie Yap-Daza. Barretto added the words “coming soon” as her caption. In another Instagram post, Claudine also shared that she will be working with Kris Aquino for the movie adaptation of the said book.
If this film pushes through, it will be the reunion movie of Kris and Claudine after doing the blockbuster horror film Sukob in 2006. Etiquette For Mistress film adaptation’s movie rights have been acquired by Chito Roño, the same director of their film Sukob. Back in 2014, Claudine’s estranged elder sister Gretchen had also previously announced that she had received an offer from Direk Chito to play a mistress in the film adaptation of the said book.
But before Ettiquette For Mistress, Claudine will be doing two movies for Star Cinema before venturing back into doing teleserye. Her first movie after a long hiatus from showbiz is Pinilit Kong Limutin Ka to be directed by Wenn Deramas. “We decided to do a movie first. My last film was In Your Eyes back in 2010 pa. It’s also to test the waters if I still have market, di ba? After that, then it’s easier to do a teleserye,” said Claudine.
“I’m really, really very excited to be working again. I hope the fans will be as excited as I am,” added Claudine who’s currently busy trying to get her shape back in its top form. She goes to the gym regularly and Philippine showbiz Republic (PSR) is happy that she’s also now in good terms with husband Raymart Santiago. Indeed, things are coming up roses for Claudine.
